⇐Highlights Week 2

Red Raiders 5 – Scrappers 0


The Red Raiders got it going in the 2nd with a double by Tyler Zielinski, and singles by Dionte Smith and Terrell Crosson.  In the 3rd Kameron Garfield, Landen Willis, Ryan Jenkins and Matt Cichocki all got base hits to score two more runs.  Two more were added in the 4th to make the score 5-0.  Great defensive plays were made by Landen Willis and Ryan Jenkins

Stars 18 – Beavers 10


The stars met the beavers on a chilly Monday evening. The stars continued to swing the bats with conviction beating the beavers 18-10.

The stars were led by Jameson Grunenwald (4-4 with 1 double and 1 triple), skylar Louwers (4-4 with 2 triples)and keleb Pritchard (4-4 with 2 doubles). The beavers showed some power with there bats as

well led by Demetrius Kennedy and Camden Wilson both going 4-4. Demetrius had 2 singles a double and a triple with 1 RBI. While Camden had 4 singles with 2 RBI. Jack madigan helped with 2 singles and 2 runs scored.

Both teams fought through the chilly evening to showcase an offensive battle. Very fun to watch. Congrats to both teams.


Red Raiders 7 – Beavers 3


The Red Raiders defeated the defending champ Beavers today 7-3.  The Red Raiders offense was led by Julian Young (3for3, 2 triples, HR, 3RBI), Tyler Zielinski (2for3, double)Matt Cichocki (2for3, RBI), Dionte Smith(2for3),

Terrell Crosson (2for3, RBI), Kameron Garfield (2for2).  Ryan Jenkins added an RBI triple and Ethan Dorsett, Aiden Barbour and Tyshayla Cremeans all added base hits.  Jonah Chaperon was robbed of a base hit in the final inning

by a fine defensive play by the Beavers.  Landen Willis was swinging the bat well and played a great defensive game. Great effort by both teams and we look forward to playing again.

Stars 13 – Scrappers 1


On a chilly Saturday afternoon the stars and Scrappers met for opening day. Evan walker started the scrappers hitting with a triple in the first inning but was unable to cross home plate.

The stars bats came out of this cold winter very hot. Their first seven hitters got hits followed by max Praet ‘s first single and RBI of the season which ended the first inning with 5 runs.

The stars came back in the second inning with another six hits and four runs. Highlighted by Owen Pitters blast for a double.  The third inning was more of the same.

The stars had another 7 hit inning scoring an additional four runs taking a 13-0 lead after three innings.

In the top of the fourth the scrappers scored their first run of the season. Andrew Horman started the inning with a single. Followed by another hard hit knock by Evan walker.

Later in the inning Xavier Emanuel ripped an RBI base hit scoring the scrappers lone run. Both teams showed some good defensive plays throughout the game.

Jameson Grunenwald of the stars caught a line drive and doubled off a runner at first.

Nathan Schaefer if the stars had multiple put out one of which was almost a double play. Ultimately this game was decided by the hot bats of the Cilluffo Stars.

Combined they went 23-33 at the plate.Skylar Louwers, Owen Pitters and Jameson Grunenwald all went 3-3. While seven other players went 2-3.

What a great way to start opening day by both teams.
