Tonight was the first playoff game for the Scrappers, and it was business as usual. Before the game I told the team to go out, have fun, and play our game. We played our game and came out on top. The Stars played us tough with great hitting and great defense. Good luck to Stars and to the Beavers on Friday and mainly, have fun.The Scrappers turned in an outstanding defensive and offensive effort to earn a spot in the PC championship.The Stars fought hard, but the Scappers defense was up to the task. For the Stars, Alex Willis made an outstanding snag at pitcher and throw to Ahmiya at first for an out.He also snagged another and threw to Isabel at 3rd for the force. The Stars couldn’t get much going on offense, but Slammin Kam went 3-3, Isabel got that bat on the ball every time up and went 1-3, Abbie was 2-3 and Chris 1-3.The Stars look to earn another chance to play the Scrappers if they can beat the Beavers Friday night and advance to the city championship.

Hello sports fans! We bring you more Scrapper news. On Wednesday the Scrappers took on the Beavers at SR#2. We were a little sluggish to start due to some rain but we got it in. Like the weather, each team started off slow on offense, but the defense was really good. The Beavers where looking good. Both teams played ball like baseball should be played, to have fun.

Saturday the Scrappers took on the Beavers at HWLL#3. The Scrappers started off with some awesome offence. The bats were alive and well as always. Everyone had a hit in this game, but Jerrell Crosson went 4-4 with a three run shot, and Nick Lang also went 4-4. Great job Scrappers!
Storm 8 – CFLL Storm 7
The Stars had to play some strong defense to edge a cfll Storm team that was putting the ball in play all night. Chris Jackson, Alex Willis, and Kam Garfield all made put outs. Patrick Burns and Abigael Brown flashed some nice leather. Isabel Jenkins and Ahmiya Gordon were each involved in several putouts. Kam (3-3) led the offense with a two run homer! Isabel (2-2) and Alex (3-3) were perfect at the plate. Terrall Turner was 2-3 and Cole Taylor and Aidan Perez hit the ball hard and played alert defense and Trey Isom was tough behind the plate. It was a great team win with everyone chipping in against a solid Storm team.

It was a nice evening for baseball down at the yard as the Scrappers and Stars took to the field. The Scrappers went right to work doing what they do best. the Stars put up great defense with some great hits. The Scrappers just put it all together and came out on top. All had fun!
Stars 11- Beavers 2
The Beavers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with hot hitting in the first inning. But the Stars were able to bounce right back with 5 of their own during a two out rally. Kam Garfield (triple and home run) lead the way as he continues to hit line drives all over the field. Aidan Perez also went 2-2, Alex WIllis and Cole Taylor were 2-3. The Stars activated girl power as Isabel, Ahmiya, and Abigail all went 2-2. Terrall Turner made a nice play at 3rd to get an out.

It was another beautiful night down at the yard for baseball. The Scrappers took to the field to take on the Beavers. The beavers had some great plays on defense and had some great hits. The Scrappers once again played their game and managed to come out on top with the win. We played great and had fun!
Stars 16 – CFLL Bulls 15
The Stars played another exciting game Monday night winning on a walk off single by Aiden Perez (4-5) scoring Isabel Jenkins (4-4). The Stars also had great hitting from Sincere Ansong, Alex Willis, Cole Taylor, Kameron Garfield who were all 4-4. Terrall Turner went 3-4. Kameron continued to find outfield grass with two doubles. Kam caught two put outs on defense from Abby Brown and Alex Willis, one with a perfect split stretch to barely beat the runner. Isabel Jenkins lead the defense with 3 put outs in the field, one coming from the pitchers mound to 3b Chris Jackson to stop a sixth inning Bulls rally and keep the game tied. The Stars and Bulls went back and forth all night with solid hitting and fielding. The kids and coaches all had a lot of fun in an exciting game.

Well, after a week off, the Scrappers and the Stars faced off for another great game. Both teams started off slow before the Stars got on the board. The Scrapper bats were quiet the first time thru the order but as they came around so did the rain. We waited it out for about 10/15 minutes and resumed play. The Scrappers regrouped and did what they do best, played ball. We had fun, got wet, and came out on top.The Scrappers and Stars played another tight game with the Scrappers smashing the ball in a 5 run inning to make the difference. The Stars offense was lead by Kam Garfield 2-2 and Chris Jackson 2-2.

Last night the Scrappers took on the CFLL Mets and what a game. Both teams played good baseball with some great defensive plays and good offense. The Scrappers bats where mighty as always with a total of 17 hits, 5 of those hits were doubles. Kevin Mikolajczak, Max Mudridge, Nicholas Lang, and Jerrell Crosson all went 3 for 3. We had fun!
Scrappers 4 – CFLL Lugnuts 0
It was a great night at the yard for the Scrappers. We played the CFLL Lugnuts. The offense was slow to start but the defense was outstanding. We made great plays and played tough. The offense picked up and everything just clicked tonight. Amina Mitchell had a RBI double and Nicholas Lang had a two run in the park home run. My coaches and I are proud of the Scrappers for the great game tonight.

GPP 20 – Stars 19 / Stars 14 – GPP 7
The Stars went to Grosse Pointe Park for their first ever double header and the kids were ready to play 2. Battling the GP Park Nationals in game 1 they took a 19-18 lead into the final inning. The Nationals tied it up and loaded the bases. With one out the Stars brought the infield in for a play at the plate. But the Nationals had slugger Will up and he smashed one to center to end the game. The Stars cruised to a 14-7 victory in the second game against the GP Park. Isabel Jenkins caught a pop up and hit the ball hard all day. Slammin Kam, Chris Jackson, and Alex Willis wore out GP outfielders. Ahmiya Gordon and Cole Taylor made plays all over the field. Trey Isom and Sincere Ansong had some nice hits and Aidan Perez should some great instincts getting a couple of key put outs. A big thanks to GP Park who showed great hospitality. The coaches and kids had a ton of fun and were excited to play kids from another city.
Scrappers 18 – GPP Giants 9
The Scrappers were on the road today playing the Grosse Point Giants. Again it was coach pitch, but the Scrappers took control early. The Scrappers held the lead till the bottom of the forth inning when the Giants gave the Scrappers defense a test. The Giants were able tie the game and take the lead. As always the Scrappers regrouped and put together a series of runs to regain the lead and hold it till the end of the game. Both teams played tough and I am proud for the good sportsmanship on both teams. “We had fun”!
Scrappers 6 – CFLL Lugnuts 6
The Scrappers played a rainout game on Friday against the CFLL Lugnuts.It was our first time experiencing coach pitch. The Lugnuts were a threat at the plate but the Scrappers answered the call and did what we do best, and that is hit the ball. Both teams played great defense and it ended in a tie. Great job to both teams!
Scrappers 5 – Stars 3
Tonight at HW SR#2, the Stars and Scrappers took to the field to do battle. Both teams played hard, the hitting and defense was great, and it was a nice evening for baseball. The Scrappers got out to an early lead with the help of De Angelo Williams had a 2 run triple. The Stars fought back and kept it close.The Stars and Scrappers battled it out on senior 2 Wednesday night. The game was all Scrappers until the Stars bats came alive in the 5th. Kam The Slam Garfield and Christopher Jackson lead the way with extra base hits. Isabel Jenkins, Ahmiya Gordon and Cole Taylor also hit the ball solidly to bring the score to 5-3. The Scrappers were looking to add to their lead in their half of the fifth, but the Stars activated girl power. Isabel scooped up a solid ground ball and alertly tossed to 3rd baseman Ahmiya for the force out to get the Stars out of the inning unscathed. Ahmiya flashed leather earlier in the game with a nice put out from second base to first baseman Cole. The Stars made it interesting in the 6th with hits from Sincere Ansong, Aidan Perez, and Sean Paige, but were unable to bring any of them home. We look forward to another fun meeting between these two teams.

The Ciluffo Stars and Clinton Fraser Mets took to the field Wednesday with the Mets looking to settle the score from a loss in their first meeting. And the Mets came ready to play jumping out to an early 1-0 lead. The Stars fought back in the 5th with a 2 run double from Kameron Garfield scoring Cole Taylor and Alex Willis. Singles from Ahmiya Gordon and Abigail Brown brought Kam in for the crucial 3rd run. The Mets responded with 2 of their own in the top of 6th. Alex Willis quelled the uprising with a heads up put out at 2b from his lcf position securing the tie. Fellow defensive stalwarts Cole Taylor, Kam Garfield, and Isabel Jenkins all made crucial put outs. Sincere Ansong and Patrick Burns also flashed some leather for the improved Stars defense. Tremendous sportsmanship was showed by players and coaches between the two teams in an exciting matchup.

Once again the Scrappers take the field in a match up against the CFLL Storm.
The Scrappers took care of business as usual at the plate with outstanding results. Terrell (3-3), Jerrell (2-3), Deon (3-3), Nick (3-3), Max (3-3), all of them with RBI’s. Late in the game the Storm came back with some great offense as well. We had fun!

Saturday was a beautiful sunny day down at the yard as the Scrappers took on the Beavers. Both teams played hard thru this match up, but the Scrappers came out on top. Everybody played great defense, and the hitting was great. Two new players to the Scrappers Jordan and Janeiro, never played baseball before, both hit the ball like a pro. We played for fun and we had fun.
Stars 7 – Beavers 0
The Stars and Beavers met for the first time this year with the Stars getting the best of the Beavers 7-0. Alex Willis, Isabel Jenkins, Cole Taylor, Trey Isom, Chris Jackson, and Sincere Ansong all hit well for the Stars. Kameron Garfield was the toast of LL diamond #3 with a home run and a triple.
Cilluffo Stars 8 – CFLL Mets 0
A young Mets team from Clintondale/Fraser came to town last night to battle the Ciluffo Stars. The Stars took advantage of an inexperienced Mets team that was playing their first game of the year and pulled out an 8-0 win. Sean Paige, Terrall Turner, Sincere Ansong, Ahmiya Gordon, Chris Jackson, Isabel Jenkins, Kameron Garfield, Cole Taylor, and Alex Willis extended their hitting streaks to two games. Alex Willis logged his first extra base hit with a triple to right. A big thanks to our friends from Clintondale/Fraser Little League!
DeCoopman Scrappers 5 – CFLL Lugnuts 0
Monday night at Beacon #1 the Scrappers stayed undefeated in a 5-0 shutout. We played the CFLL Lugnuts. Every player hit the ball and played great defense. Even though it was a bit cold, it was still a day at the yard and we had fun.
Beavers 0 – Clintondale Bulls 0
It was the battle of the pitching machines. Solid defense on both sides kept the fans on the edge of their seats.
