The Rattlers showed up ready to play a crossover with the Clintondale Fraser Orioles. Unfortunately the Orioles did not show up. We had a good practice in and still had fun.

It was Javion bobble head night at Little League 1 and he delivered – giving up 1 run while pitching a no hitter! He also hit an inside the park homerun in the 1st inning to help his cause on the mound. Izzy, Myckel, and Desmond pitched well for the Tin Caps, but errors and miscues in the field hurt their cause.

Rattlers 7 – Mudhens 3

5/2/18

It was a beautiful night for baseball last night as the Rattlers faced the Mudhens. Rattlers took the field first, a little short handed,

never the less ready to play ball. JT Overall pitched 3 innings in his first minor league game on the mound followed by

a “business as usual” Kenny Hoff with the next 3 innings. The bats where not as alive as either side would have liked,

but both teams played the game and fought till the end

Tin Caps 8 – Mudhens 2

The Tincaps jumped out to an early lead notching 5 in the 1st inning lead by a Desmond (2-2) double. The Mudhens answered back with one in the 1st and one in the 2nd thanks to hits from Antonio and Aiden, Aiden also pitched well in relief to quiet the Tin Caps bats. Cole got his first career start for the Tincaps and delivered, throwing strikes and getting the win. Izzy came on in relief and gave up 0 hits and 0 runs in 2 1/3, she helped her cause with a base hit and a walk. Xzavier continued to get on base for the Tin Caps with a pair of walks.

Welcome back sports fans to another season of Harper Woods Little League Minor’s Baseball. Today we had two powerhouse teams square off in the first game of the season. The Tin Caps vs. the Rattlers. The Rattlers took to the field in the first inning with Kenny Hoff getting the ball. Kenny would pitch 3 innings striking out 7 batters. Nick Lang got the nod for the next 3 innings and was lights out fanning 8 batters. Nick also had a huge out at the plate. On the batting front, the bats starting out slow for both teams started to show a little life. Aside from a hit from Kenny Hoff, Nick Lang, and Amari Gray, . Both teams battled back and forth but in the end the Tin Caps came out on top. Great game!

The Tin Caps braved the elements on a blistery opening day to squeeze out a 3-2 victory over the Rattlers.

Hits by Cole and Anthony put 2 runs up in the 1st inning. Xzavier had a base hit in his first ever at bat in the 3rd and scored
on a smash hit by Desmond. Myckel got the start for the Tin Caps and pitched great. Desmond held a late Rattler surge at bay to get
the save. Cole threw out a steal attempt to Izzy at 3rd to quell a sixth inning Rattler rally.
