A great game 1 of the City Championship today between 2 real good teams. The Tigers ended up on top today led by the Pitching of Joe Randazzo who struck out 12. At the plate Joe also went 3 for 3 with 2 Home Runs and 4 RBI. Malachi Young also went 3 for 3 with a Home run and 3 RBI. Kaleb Pritchard went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. Ben Praet singled and scored, Ben Jenny singled, walked and scored 2. Julian doubled while reaching base all 3 times scoring 3, Cam Schafer and Caleb Morisette each singled.

Joe Randazzo took the mound today striking out 13 to lead the Tigers to a game 1 win. At the plate Leroy keeps stroking the ball all over the field going 2 for 2 with a walk. Lukas Pietsch hit a 3 run home run, Ben Praet keep playing the leadoff role to the utmost reaching baser all 3 times and scoring twice. Julian Young also was 2 for 2 with a walk, Caleb Morisette reached base both times with hits and Cam Schafer tripled singled and walked. Tim Klatt continues to improve daily getting a frozen rope single, steals second and third and scores. What a team effort.

Led by the offensive punch of Ben Jenny’s 2 run blast and Malachi Young’s homer the Tigers were able to earn a tough victory tonight. Some great combined pitching by Caleb Wright. Joe Randazzo, Julian Young and Cam Schafer helped the cause. Some fine defense by Caleb Morisette at third cut a Giant chance right in the bud.

Led by the great pitching by Julian Young and Ben Praet the Tigers have earned the best record of the year in the Major League and clinched best overall record and American League best record. Malachi Young hit his 5th homer of the year and Lukas Pietsch added his 4th. Cam Schafer hit 3 rockets today, Julian helped his cause at the plate and the entire team has played hard all year and continue to improve each day.

Cam Schafer took the mound tonight and led his team to the victory throwing a 3 hitter striking out 5. Joe Randazzo hit a Grand Slam to lead the way, but every player contributed tonight! Malachi Young had 2 hits, Cam helped his cause with a double driving in a run. Kaleb Pritchard drove in 2 tonight with his frozen rope single. Tim Klatt and Caleb Wright each drove in a run and Lukas Pietsch doubled and scored. Some great defense tonight by Lukas at first making some great plays on 2 line shots, hard hit grounders and a pop up toward the dugout. Julian Young was solid at second and Ben Jenny was solid in Center tonight. Ben Praet is becoming a solid catcher. Caleb Wright and Malachi each made their plays at 3rd. 12 players came to play tonight, in the game the whole night, in the dugout they were deep in the game. Coach D very proud of some of the little things they did tonight. It is the little things that make the difference!

Good all around game for the Giants today. Every player reached base and scored at least once. Jonah Chaperon had a great game at the plate going 3-4 and Joey Willis pitched 5 strong innings giving ip 5 runs (3 earned) while striking out 8.

The Giants played their best game in the past couple weeks to take down the GPP Dodgers. Bo Leonard pitched four strong innings giving up 4 runs on 5 hits with 6 Ks and Skylar Lauwers pitched two giving up 2 runs on 4 hits with 1 K.  The Giants took a 2-0 lead in the 3rd with aggressive base running by Skylar and Matt Willingham. Trailing 6-3 in the top of the 6th patient at bats by Tyler Zielinski and Ryan Jenkins resulted in walks then Mason Tringalli singled after Ty was caught stealing. Walks by Skylar, Willingham, Bo and Joe Willis tied the game. Matt Cichocki drew a bases loaded walk for what turned out to be the game winning run.  In the bottom of the 6th, Eddie Battle made a diving catch in Center Field. With one out and the tying run on 3rd and winning run on 2nd Skylar induced a ground ball back to the mound. After checking the runner, he threw to Bo at first for the out. The runner on 3rd tried to score so Bo fired to Ryan at the plate for a game ending 1-3-2 double play!


Tigers 7 – GPP Tigers 2

Led by the fine pitching of Joe Randazzo, striking out 11. Some fine defense behind him by Julian Young at second, Ben Praet at short, Ben Jenny in Center, Kaleb Pritchard in left and Cam Schafer behind the plate helped keep GPP in check. At the plate the HW Tigers were led by Joe Randazzo who walked twice and tripled, Ben Jenny scored 2 runs by walking twice, Cam Schafer had 2 doubles today with 4 RBI. Kaleb Pritchard singled and his brother Kenyon had a keen eye at the plate working the count to earn 2 walks. Lukas Pietsch, after missing a couple games, picked up right where he left off with a triple, single and 3 RBI.. The rest of the team worked hard at the plate hitting the ball but some good defense by GPP kept them off the bases. Way to represent team!!

Led by the pitching of Cam Schafer and Caleb Wright the Tigers took another one tonight from NL 1st place team Giants. Mammoth home runs by Joe Randazzo and Malachi Young that landed on LL#2 helped the offensive punch. Other big contributors at the plate were Caleb Morisette who went 3 for 3 with a double off the fence. Ben Praet went 3 for 3, Kenyon Pritchard chipped in a single and scored twice and his brother Kaleb had 2 hits and 1 RBI. Julian Young punched in 2 hits and Ben Jenny walked singled and scored 2 while The Taz Caleb Wright drove in 2. Some great defense in Center by Ben Jenny, Joe Randazzo at short, Caleb Morisette in left and Ben Praet behind the dish.

A true battle on LL#2 tonight. The Yankees came out strong scoring 3 in the 1st inning. The Tigers have a never quite attitude and scored 4 in their half of the first led by Malachi “Moose” Young who blasted a long 3 run shot to straight away center. Fine relief pitching tonight keep the Yankees at bay with Joe Randazzo for the win and Julian Young to close it out. Other Tiger hitters tonight were Joe Randazzo with 2 hits and 2 RBI, Malachi had 4 for the night and Caleb “Hippie” Morisette drove in 3 tonight. Ben “The Jet” Praet continues to show what a leadoff hitter is all about by walking twice and singling scoring 2, Ben “Leroy” Jenny walked twice and scored both times.

A true baseball battle on a warm sunshiny evening on LL#1 tonight! The Tigers scored early with 2 in the first, 2 in the second and 3 in the third. The Cardinals made it a ballgame by scoring 6 in the bottom of the 3rd. The Tigers came back with 1 in the 4th, the Cards answered with 4 more runs to take a 10-8 lead into the 5th. Tigers answered with a 5th inning run, making it a 10-9 ballgame going into the 6th with the bottom of the Tiger order coming up and fans in the stands thought this game was over, but NO said the Tigers as they proceed to score 9 runs to make it an 18-10 and relief pitcher Julian Young did the rest but holding the Cards scorless in their half of the 6th to earn the victory. At the plate the Tigers were led by Ben Praet, Malachi Young, Joe Randazzo, Kaleb Pritchard and Julian Young with 2 hits apiece. Tiger Ben “Leroy” Jenny had a great day at the plate going 3 for 4. RBI leader for the Tigers were Ben Praet with 3, Joe Randazzo and Julian Young each drove in 2 while Ben Jenny, Cam Schafer, Caleb “Hippie” Morisette, Malachi Young and Kaleb Pritchard each drove in 1. Great fight in the Tiger team tonight which led to the Victory and the league leading 11-2 record.

Joe Randazzo took the mound tonight for the Tigers. After a rough first inning throwing 31 pitches and walking 2 allowing 2 runs. He settled down and threw only 51 pitches the other 5 inings. Striking out 12 Giants tonight while only allowing 2 hits. The Tiger hitting was a team contribution tonight, led by Lukas Pietsch’s 3 hit, 3 RBI night with his 2 doubles. Joe had 1 big hit for 2 RBI and was semi-intentionally walked. Cam Schafer continues his strong year driving in 2 runs, while Malachi Young continues his hitting ways with 3 hits and 1 RBI tonight. Kaleb Pritchard also singled in a run. Coach D is very happy with the progress of young 9 year old Tim “Bam Bam” Klatt, who not only has a good eye at the plate by leading the team in walks, but he continues to improve and hit 2 solid shots tonight, one of which was a fly ball to center. Continue on this path Tim and things can only get better. Great Teamwork tonight!

Cam Schafer took the mound today for the Tigers allowing only 1 hit while striking out 10 to earn the victory. At the plate Joe Randazzo continues to use home plate as a launching pad as he hit a mammoth home run that landed on the 3rd furthest batting cage. He added 2 doubles for a 7 RBI game. Lukas Pietsch hit a true inside the park home run and added 2 more hits for a 5 RBI day. Ben Praet continues to show what a leadoff hitter is suppose to do, he walked twice, singled and scored 3 runs. Julian Young doubled in a run. Malachi Young added 2 singles and Kaleb Pritchard and Caleb Morisette each singled to round out the Tiger hitting attack. On defense the Tigers pulled another double play today 1-4-3 for their 4th of the year.

Yankee rookie pitcher Gabe Scott started on the mound for the Yankees vs. CFLL Astros in an Inter-League game with veteran Calvin Thompson behind the plate. Gabe closed the 1st inning with a strike out. Antonio Jemison contributed to the 5 runs in the 1st inning with an inside the park home run, along with Ahmad McGee Williams’ triple giving the Yankees a 5-1 lead going into the 2nd inning. Gabe continued his defense in the 2nd inning making the 3rd out again, this time with a line drive to the mound. The line up continued to score in the 2nd inning with hits from Damon Smith, Calvin Thompson, Corey Vardiman, Joey Olejniczak, Gabe Scott, Cardale Patterson and Ahmad McGee Williams hitting monster 3-run homer to the roof of the concession stand. In the 3rd inning, Cardale Patterson made a dramatic sliding catch to get an ESPN-style out in Centerfield. The hitting continued in the 3rd inning for the Yankee bats. Back on the mound Joey Olejniczak closed out the 3rd inning and quickly wrapped up the 4th. Everyone contributed to the victory.

The Tigers and Yankees played a great battle tonight on LL#2. The game went back and forth, toe to toe until relief pitcher Ben “The Jet” Praet took the mound in the fourth with the Tigers down by 2 runs and he proceeded to keep the Yankee bats quite the rest of the way only allowing 1 run while striking out 5 including the final out, so his team could mount their comeback and victory. At the plate the entire team chipped in again tonight. A shout out to Cam Schafer and Joe Randazzo who came injured and ill but did a MAJOR GUT CHECK and played through it. At the plate Joe continues to tear the cover of the ball going 2 for 2 with 2 walks, one of which was intentional and a Home run with 3 RBI. The Intentional walk in the fifth inning to load the bases for Lukas Pietsch who fouled off about 4 pitches and with a 2 and 2 count launhed a Grand Slam. Other Tiger hitter were Ben Praet who went 3 for 3 with a walk and 4 runs scored, Cam walked twice and scored both times. Malachi “Moose” Young reached base all 4 times going 3 for 4 with a RBI. Julian Young went 2 for 3 which included his 1st Major League Home  Run. Caleb “Taz” Wright drove in a run with his sharp single. Some stellar defense by Joe at short and Lukas at first to pull off a double play. Caleb Wright and Julian also did a fine job on the mound to start the game. Great team work to never give up and play 6 innings of tough baseball tonight.

The Yankees started out strong on the mound with Nate Schaefer. Yankee bats were on fire with doubles by Nate Schaefer, Calvin Thompson and Ahmad McGee-Williams, as well as, singles by Gabe Scott and Corey Vardiman, taking the game to a 4 to 4 tie after the first inning. The Yankees lead in the second inning 6 to 5 and in the third inning 9 to 8. The Yankees continued to go head to head with the Tigers’ roster for the fourth and fifth innings on the field and at the plate, with great middle relief pitching by Gabe Scott. The Yankees were down 11 to 10 in the top of the sixth inning when the Yankee Strategy succumbed to Lukas Pietsch’s Grand Slam. The Yankees’ final at bat did not produce any opportunities to get back runs. Great effort by the entire Yankee team.

With the game tied at 1 in the second a potential 2 out rally by the Cards was ended with a nice catch in left by Terry Smith.
In the bottom of the 3rd Matthew Willingham turned an unassisted double play and in the 6th the Giants turned a 4-3-5 DP to end the game. Ryan Jenkins fielded a grounder at second and threw to Mr. Bojengles at first who then threw to Matthew Cichocki at 3rd who put the tag on the runner trying to advance.

Joe Randazzo throws a NO HITTER tonight for the Tigers. 15 up, 15 down including 12 strikeouts. Joe also helped his cause with a 2 RBI double. Lukas Pietsch also had a 2 RBI double. Julian Young singled in a run as did Malachi Young. All 12 players came to play tonight which showed. Every hitter had great at bats, hitting the ball hard and getting key walks. Some god defensive plays turned in tonight by Julian Young at second and Lukas Pietsch made a great play on an over throw at 1st. He retrieved the ball and threw a strike to second where Julian put down the tag.

Joe Randazzo took the mound today in a 4 innings storm shortened game. He faced 15 batters striking out 10 of them, while only allowing 1 hit by Skylar Louwers. At the plate Joe hit a 3 run shot that landed on the other diamond and hit a rope double to left, while adding a single for a 4 RBI day. Every Tiger came to play today against the NL leading Giants, Ben “The Jet” Praet continues to have a keen eye as lead off hitter by walking twice and scorig both times. The brothers Prichard Kenyon and Kaleb each had RBI singles, as did Ben “Leroy” Jenny. Cam Schafer was solid behind the dish tonight and continues his hitting ways by driving a line shot single to center. Caleb “Taz” Wright had an RBI double and Caleb “Hippie” Morisette celebrated his birthday by hitting a frozen rope double and a single. Malchi “Moose” Young doubled today, Tim “Bam Bam” Klatt walked twice for a team leading 10th walk of the season. Next up GP Park on Saturday, LL#1 with a 3pm start.

Another come from behind win for the Giants. Trailing by 1 in the bottom of the 5th Matthew Cichocki drew a walk and tied the game on Terry Smith’s double to left center. In the bottom of the 6th Skylar Lauwers led off with a double but was thrown out at 3rd on a fine defensive play. Matthew Willingham ripped a double and scored the winning run with agressive base running on a passed ball.

Ben Praet took the mound today to earn the victory. In a bases loaded jam, the Tigers called in Joe Randazzo to face 1 batter to close out the inning. Julian came in again and did a great job in relief to finish the game. The Tigers pulled a 1-4-3 double play, Julian to Joe to Lukas. Kaleb Pritchard made a fine catch in right, Cam Schafer was solid behind the plate again throwing out any runner that tries to steal. When will they learn :)?   At the plate the entire team contributed to the 15 runs led by Cams 2 for 2 performance and 2 RBI. Lukas Pietsch had 2 hits including a double and 2 RBI. Ben Praet helped his cause by going 1 for 1 with 2 walks. Joe Randazzo returned to the line up tonight going 2 for 3 driving in a run with a frozen rope double. Caleb “Hippie” Morisette hit the ball hard all 3 time at the plate driving in a run and scored. Kenyon Pritchard drove in a run as did Caleb Wright and Tim “Bam Bam” Klatt walked all 3 times tonight. Solid Team Performance!


Yankees 12 – Giants 10

Great efforts for both teams. The Yankees achieved a well-earned victory. Gabe Scott, in his first major league start, pitched a solid two and two-thirds innings. Joey Olejniczak went the rest of the distance to close out the game. A remarkable team effort on defense with smart plays and a lot of hustle. Bats were alive as Damon Smith had two strong singles, Antonio Jemison had a timely lead-off double, Joey Olejniczak had two great hits and Ahmad McGee-Williams slammed another long home run, to name just a few of the batting highlights. Speed and smartness on the base path added to the team’s success. All contributed to the day’s results, demonstrating the depth of the team’s talent and readiness to compete.

Being shorthanded of 2 key players today, the Tigers still battled hard and played a great game against NL rivals Cardinals. At the plate today Ben “The Jet” Praet had 2 singles and scored twice, Lukas “Georgia Pietsch” singled in a run, Malachi “Moose” Young doubled in a run while Julian Young had 2 hits including a double and RBI. Ben Jenny singled and Caleb “Taz” Wright doubled in a run. Ben “Leroy” Jenny got his first pitching appearance and did a fine job. Julian continues to pitch well for the team this year. Coach D is very proud of the team play and their gelling together the last 2 games. He was more pleased with today’s game then some of their wins. TEAM PLAY!!!!!

Strong pitching by Joey Willis and Mr. Bojangles along with some good defense kept the score close.
Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the 4th Tyler Zielinski drew a walk and scored on Skylar Louwers double. Matt Willingham drew another walk and ended up scoring on an infield fly that dropped. The tigers took a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the 6th when Skylar led off with another double, Willingham walked and Willis was walked to load the bases. Elise Chaperon came up and ripped a 2 run double to win the game.  Other highlights included Jonah Chaperon getting his first base hit of the season.  Good game played by both teams

The Tigers had strong pitching from both Cam Schafer and Caleb Wright, but some defensive lapses gave the Giants a well deserved win. Tigers hitters were Ben Praet, Lukas Pietsch and Malachi Young who added 2 more RBI today. Good Game by both teams

Joe Randazzo took the mound today and was outstanding! He struck out 14, 11 of which were in a row, only gave up 1 hit and 1 base on balls. At the plate the Tigers were led by Malchi “Moose” Young who rocketed a Grand Slam home run to put a very close well played game out of reach. Other Tiger contributors at the plate were Lukas Pietsch who singled in a run, while Kaleb Pritchard, Ben Jenny and Caleb Morisette each had a single. A great line shot catch by Ben “The Jet” Praet was the ESPN defensive play of the game. 2 good ballclubs played tonight with sure to be exciting games between the two teams all year.

Led by the pitching of Cam Schafer, Caleb Wright and Julian Young the Tigers earned their 3rd victory tonight. A lot of big contributors at the plate tonight on the Tiger side led by Cam’s 4 RBI day which included a base clearing triple. Joe Randazzo continues to stroke the ball hitting his 3rd homer in as many games. Malchi Young hit a mammoth home run to left tonight. Lukas Pietsch continues his hitting by driving in a run with his frozen rope single. Julian, Ben Jenny and Kenyon Pritchard each picked up singles and Hippie Caleb Morisette added 2 singles to tonight’s hitting attack. Ben Praet continues to show why he is batting lead off by walking twice and scoring both times. Next up the battle of the undefeateds versus the NL Giants. Should be a good one!

Strong pitching by Bo Leonard, Joey Willis and Mason Tringalli kept the Giants in this one. Trailing 3-0 after the 4th but scored 3 in the 5th with hits by Skylar Louwers, Matthew Willingham, Bo, a double by Willis and a single by Matt Cichocki.
In the 6th Ryan Jenkins and Tyler Zielinski had walks and hits by Skylar and Bo to take a 6-3 lead. Mason closed out the 6th for the hard fought victory.


Tigers 10 – Cardinals 2

Fearless Joe took the mound today for 4-1/3 innings striking out 11 Cardinals. Lukas Georgia Pietsch came in for 1-2/3 innings and struck out 2. At the plate the Tigers were led by Joe Randazzo’s 3 run Home Run. Other contributors at the plate were Lukas Pietsch who went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI, Cam “Scoops” Schafer drove in 2 runs with a frozen rope double, Kaleb”Bulldog”  Pritchard singled and scored a run. Ben “Leroy” Jenny and Tim “Bam Bam” Klatt each had RBIs. Some crucial defense put in today by the Tigers. With bases loaded with Cardinals and 2 out Kenyon “Mongoose” Pritchard was stationed in left when he robbed a base clearing double by making a diving catch to end the inning. Cam Schafer was solid behind the plate making a fine play on a pop-up and throwing out Tommy Nguyen, one of the fastest Card, trying to steal. Coach D was missing today but watched from his phone and he is very proud of the team effort today!

The Yankees jumped out to an early 6-1 lead after 3 innings but the Giants bats came alive in the 4th scoring 6 to take a 7-6 lead. The Yankees tied it in the bottom of the 4th with a solo shot bt Corey. The Giants added 8 in the 5th and then in the 6th Bojangles hit a three run shot. The game was called due to rain in the 6th.
Strong pitching by Joe Willis, Mason Tringalli and Skylay Lauwers. Agressive base running by Matthew Willingham set the tone for the comeback.


Tigers 16 – Yankees 1

Joe Randazzo (2-1/3 innings, 6Ks, 0 runs) and Ben Praet (2 innings 4 Ks, 1 run) threw a combined no hitter against American League Rival NY Yankees. At the plate Ben Praet continues to perform his role as lead off hitter to the utmost by walking twice and scoring 2 runs, as did Julian Young in the 2 hole. Joe Randazzo had 2 hits including a homer run and 4 RBI, Lukas Pietsch had 2 extra base hits with a triple and home run driving in a run. Cam Schafer was solid behind the plate and had a 2 RBI single, while newcomers Malachi Young, with an RBI double and Kenyon Pritchard in his first 2 major league at bats had a single, double and 3 RBI, showed why Coach D wanted them on his team. Ben Jenny and Caleb Wright also had patience at the plate walking twice and scoring both times. All 12 players had good at bats whether they reached base or not. Good way to start of the 2016 season.

The Giants were led by Bo Leonard’s 4 shutout innings on the mound (1 hit, 7 k’s). Bo was also 1-1 with 2 walks. Jonah Chaperon scored the first run of the season in the 3rd.
The tone was set in the first inning when Skylar Louwres caught two base runners stealing.
